MIAMI – Nov. 19, 2015 – Jaret L. Davis, Co-Managing Shareholder of the Miami office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been named to the BB&T Miami-Dade County Local Advisory Board.
The BB&T Miami-Dade County Local Advisory Board consists of nine community leaders representing a wide variety of industries throughout the county. As a board member, Davis will provide feedback and guidance with regards to BB&T’s client service, policies and products. BB&T is one of the largest financial services holding companies in the U.S. with approximately $208.8 billion in assets and market capitalization of approximately $27.8 billion, as of Sept. 30, 2015. Based in Winston-Salem, N.C., the company operates 2,150 financial centers in 15 states and Washington, D.C., and offers a full range of consumer and commercial banking, securities brokerage, asset management, mortgage and insurance products and services.

As Co-Managing Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office, Davis oversees approximately 170 attorneys and 200 business staff based in the firm’s founding office. As a member of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice, he focuses his work on the IT and life sciences/biotech sectors; Davis helps public and private companies at various growth stages, including startups, while also working with private equity, venture capital and angel investors.
