Greenberg Traurig Associate Jay A. Yagoda Elected to Board of Directors of the Third District Court of Appeal Historical Society

MIAMI June 17, 2016Jay A. Yagoda, an associate in the Miami Appellate Practice at international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Third District Court of Appeal Historical Society.

Incorporated in 2008, the Third District Court of Appeal Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, collection, and commemoration of the history of Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal. The Society's mission is to preserve the Court's historical records; to collect and create further records, in print and electronic media; to commemorate the history and achievements of the Court; and to educate the public about the workings of the Court and the judicial system.

At Greenberg Traurig, Yagoda focuses his practice on appellate law and trial support, in state and federal courts. Yagoda is involved in several professional and community organizations including the Appellate Practice Section of The Florida Bar; the American Bar Association, Business Law and Litigation Sections; the Dade County Bar Association; and the Federal Bar Association, South Florida Chapter. He also serves as both a member and Mentoring Chair of the Rosemary Barkett Appellate Inn of Court. Yagoda received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2010.
