Public-Private Partnership Leads to Transit Land Lease

Two Greenberg Traurig attorneys were key in smoothing the legal barriers that came with an ambitious plan to redevelop seven acres owned by Miami-Dade County surrounding the Douglas Road Metrorail station.

Miami shareholders Ryan Bailine and Nancy Lash carefully crafted a $40 million ground lease and development agreement on behalf of Adler Group and 13th Floor Investments, two Miami developers that formed a joint venture to build the mixed-use project known as the Link at Douglas Station.

"This project that is envisioned for Douglas Station is by far the most significant mixed-use, transit-oriented, revenue-generating, public-private partnership that I've ever been involved with," Bailine said.
