MIAMI – Nov. 10, 2017 – Antonio Peña, a corporate shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s, LLP Latin American and Iberian Practice, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce is a private, non-profit organization recognized by the Spanish Government and dedicated to enhancing commercial ties between Spain and the U.S.
“It is an honor to serve this great organization and add my perspective to a Board of Directors comprised of top business leaders with a proven track record in Spain and here in the United States,” Peña said. “As one of the most active forums for commercial and business exchange between Spain and the United States, the Chamber has the capacity to promote trade and influence business relations between both countries. South Florida, with its cultural and language ties to Spain, is home to many Spanish companies investing in this region and expanding into the rest of the U.S. and Latin America. I am very much looking forward to working with fellow board members to support the Chamber’s objectives of guiding bilateral trade and investment between the U.S. and Spain.”
Peña, an alumnus of the University of Navarre in Spain, has consistently represented Spanish multinational companies and PYMES (pequeñas y medianas empresas) in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, restructurings and other corporate matters throughout the United States and Latin America.
