Greenberg Traurig Elevates Three Attorneys in Washington, D.C. Office

WASHINGTON – March 13, 2017 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP elevated Patrick J.  (PJ) McCarthy to shareholder and Cyril T. Brennan and W. William Prochot to of counsel in its Washington, D.C. office.

McCarthy is a patent litigator who is also barred and licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He litigates matters across a broad range of complex technologies, including semiconductors, smartphone hardware and software, telecommunications, global positioning systems, networking, distributed computing, automated vehicle systems, and cable/satellite broadcasting and devices. He has argued before many federal district courts across the country, including in California, Delaware, Florida, and Texas, among others.

Brennan focuses his practice on international trade regulation law, with an emphasis on U.S. export controls and economic sanctions. He handles matters regarding the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), sanctions programs administered by the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and advises clients on the foreign investment review and clearance process overseen by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

Prochot focuses his practice on litigation, with an emphasis on administrative procedure and regulatory matters.
