Greenberg Traurig’s Alicia Voltmer Among 2019 MUFSO Conference Keynote Speakers

DALLAS – Oct. 11, 2019 – Alicia Sienne Voltmer, of counsel in the Dallas office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will be a featured keynote speaker at the 60th annual Nation’s Restaurant News Multi-Unit Food Service Operators (MUFSO) Conference in Denver. Voltmer’s presentation, “Dodge, Dip, Duck, Dive, Dodge: Avoiding Joint Employer Status,” will explore the latest legal developments relating to joint employer tests used by various federal agencies as well as practical business takeaways for decreasing the risk of a joint employer finding.

Voltmer is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and advises clients on day-to-day employment matters, including reductions in force, disciplinary actions, accommodations, hiring, and firing. She also handles client mediations, arbitrations, administrative hearings, and court proceedings involving state and federal laws including:  the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Employment Retirement Income Security Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, the False Claim Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the National Labor Relations Act of 1935 (Wagner Act), the Title VII: Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Texas Workforce Commission on Human Rights Act, the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act, and other laws.
