Greenberg Traurig Shareholders to Speak at the 24th Annual ACI Conference on Drug & Medical Device Litigation

NEW YORK – Dec. 9, 2019 – Shareholders Lori G. Cohen, Gregory E. Ostfeld, and Sabrina R. Gallo of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will speak at the 24th Annual American Conference Institute (ACI) Conference on Drug & Medical Device Litigation, Dec. 10-11 in New York at the New York Marriott Marquis. The annual forum brings together in-house and outside counsel, judges, and government regulators to discuss issues impacting drug and medical device products liability litigation. Greenberg Traurig is a lead sponsor of the conference and hosting a networking luncheon Dec. 10.

Cohen, who serves as chair of Greenberg Traurig's Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice and co-chair of the firm's Global Litigation Practice, will moderate a panel of general counsel titled, “Drug and Medical Device Year in Review: How the Most Influential Product Liability Decisions of the Last Year are Impacting Your Clients and Cases,” Dec. 10 at 8:15 a.m. Cohen has attended and spoken at this annual conference each of the 24 years that it has taken place, other than when she has been in trial.

Ostfeld is a shareholder in the firm's Chicago office and co-chair of Greenberg Traurig's Chicago Litigation Practice. He will speak on a panel titled, “Determining When and How to Pursue Preemption Defenses for 510(k) and PMA Devices” Dec. 10 at 11:15 a.m.

Gallo, a shareholder in the firm's Health Care & FDA Practice and Litigation Group, will speak at a networking lunch Dec. 10 at 12:00 p.m.

Twenty-three attorneys from 5 Greenberg Traurig offices will be in attendance over the three day event. The annual conference brings together more than 400 attendees with speakers from over 25 pharmaceutical and medical device companies. It will also feature panels from top judges and government enforcers.
