Greenberg Traurig’s Jason Zachary to Participate in the E*TRADE Directions 2019 Conference

DENVER, CO – April 15, 2019 — Jason Zachary, a shareholder in the Corporate Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at the upcoming E*TRADE Directions 2019 Conference in Palm Springs, California from May 14-17, 2019. The four-day conference is one of the nation’s longest-running conferences for stock plan professionals.

Zachary will participate as a panelist in a session titled “Navigating the Share Request Process and Avoiding Common Equity Plan Pitfalls” on May 17. The panel will focus on real-world strategies for preserving equity plan flexibility while obtaining the shares needed, including practical tips for shareholder engagement. In addition, panelists will discuss ways to navigate the black-box approaches of ISS and Glass Lewis, and discuss how to avoid key equity plan and proposal drafting pitfalls.

Based in the firm’s Denver and New York City offices, Zachary provides legal advice and counsel to boards of directors and senior management of corporate clients, as well as private equity and venture capital investment funds and their portfolio companies. He advises clients in a wide variety of complex business transactions, ranging from public and private offerings of equity, high-yield and investment grade securities, leveraged buyouts, strategic mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures, to reorganizations, growth equity and venture capital investments, and divestitures. He regularly advises public companies regarding Exchange Act reporting and corporate governance-related matters.
