Shari Heyen to Speak at National Diversity Council Conference

HOUSTON – April 8, 2019 – Shari Heyen, Co-Chair of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Global Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice and Co-Managing Shareholder of the Houston office has been selected to participate in the National Diversity Council’s 15th Annual Diversity and Leadership Conference, April 8-12 in Dallas.

The theme for the conference is Inclusion: The Time is Now. The highlight of this year's conference will be a conversation with former President Barack Obama, as well as keynotes from actor America Ferrera and General Colin Powell.

Heyen will be part of the April 11 panel discussion Leaning in Without Tipping Over: Achieving Work + Life = Balance,” which focuses on the importance for women of establishing a healthy work-life balance while also asserting themselves in the workplace. The session will also include advice from leaders based on their personal experience.

According to the council, the five-day event will afford organizations the opportunity to explore tools and resources necessary to build diverse workforces and remain competitive on the global stage. The event is to also provide valuable opportunities for individuals to network and grow in their knowledge of diversity and leadership.
