Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch Wins at 'Euromoney Europe Women in Business Law Awards' 2019

LONDON – 14 June 2019Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch, a shareholder of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, won Best in Real Estate at the Euromoney Legal Media Group’s annual ‘Europe Women in Business Law Awards’ ceremony, June 13 in London. In addition, Viola Bensinger, co-chair of the firm’s Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice, was a finalist for Best in Technology, Media & Telecommunications. 

According to the Euromoney website, the aware series recognizes women attorneys who have successfully become influential and leading professionals in the legal industry. 

Nowakowska-Zimoch, located in Warsaw, Poland, focuses on real estate transactions and the financing of real estate projects. She assists local and international clients investing in real estate in Poland, advising on the structure of transactions, the acquisition and sale of building sites, the preparation of the investment process, and the negotiation and drafting of construction, development, and real estate contracts. 

Nowakowska-Zimoch is widely recognized in the real estate market and has been involved in major transactions involving commercial, office, and logistics properties, including the construction of the largest shopping centers in Warsaw, as well as cross-border deals throughout Europe. In 2018, she was named Real Estate Personality of the Year by Eurobuild Awards and named to Legal 500’s Hall of Fame for Real Estate and Construction. In addition, annually, she is highly-regarded in Legal 500 EMEA, Chambers Europe, and IFLR1000. 

Greenberg Traurig was also recently recognized at Euromoney’s ‘Americas Women in Business Law’ Awards. Shareholder and Chair of the firm’s Private Wealth Services Practice, Diana S.C. Zeydel, won Best in Wealth Management. The firm was also a finalist in 14 other categories including Best International Firm for Diversity, Best International Mentoring Program, Best International Firm for Pro Bono Work, and Best Law Firm.
