LONDON – 15 August 2019 – A multi-office team from global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP assisted Rentokil Initial PLC (Rentokil) in selling its 17.8% interest in CWS-Boco International GmbH, a leading provider of workwear and hygiene services in Europe, to Haniel & Cie. Holding Company (Haniel) for cash consideration of €430 million. The parties have agreed to keep additional details of the transaction confidential.

The Greenberg Traurig team was led by London Shareholder Sarah Moyles, assisted by Berlin Shareholder Josef Hofschroer and Senior Associate Natalie Hsiao, and London Intellectual Property Consultant Ewen Mitchell.

This transaction is one of a steady stream of transactions in which Greenberg Traurig’s London office has represented Rentokil over the past 10 years. In 2017, Paul Maher, Fiona Adams, and Sarah Moyles represented Rentokil when it entered into the joint venture with Haniel.

Rentokil provides services aimed at protecting people and enhancing lives, including pest control, commercial hygiene, and plants and scenting. Rentokil reports that it operates more than 1,800 local service teams across 80 countries, covering 91% of global GDP in over 90 of the world's 100 largest cities.

Haniel is a German family equity company which has been headquartered in Duisburg-Ruhrort since it was founded in 1756. Haniel's portfolio currently includes four business divisions which hold a leading market position in their respective sectors.
