Greenberg Traurig’s Nikki Lewis Simon Speaks at Americas Leadership Forum

MIAMI – June 25, 2021Nikki Lewis Simon, a shareholder and chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) officer of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., participated in the Americas Leadership Forum as part of a panel discussion titled “Globally Inclusive Leadership” held on June 24 at 10 a.m. MDT.

The forum, which was sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, provided a full day of virtual programming, hosting keynote speakers, panel conversations, and artistic moments to engage participants in conversations about the challenges and opportunities for a globally inclusive workforce. The “Globally Inclusive Leadership” panel explored what makes a great global leader by weaving together the leadership and empathy connection. Panel members also discussed the qualities of an inclusive leader and the power of empathic leadership in an increasingly global workforce.

“Noting the many ways in which great leadership and empathy intersect was an important discussion to have,” Simon said. “Empathy as a trait possessed by great leaders is being flagged and cultivated by the business and legal communities now more than ever – which is wonderful to see.”

Simon, who is based in Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office, is a commercial litigator with more than 21 years of experience. In her role as chief DEI officer, she designs and guides strategic initiatives and programs to deepen firmwide diversity and inclusion efforts that further enrich client engagements and community investments. Simon’s role is indicative of, and integral to, Greenberg Traurig’s core values of collaboration and inclusion – principles that inform the firm’s operations and legal business in meaningful, positive ways.
