Jeff Scott and Michael McCarthy to Present Strafford CLE on Mitigating Mass Arbitration

LOS ANGELES – Sept. 27, 2021 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Litigation Practice Shareholder and Co-Chair Jeff E. Scott and Associate Michael E. McCarthy, both in the firm’s Los Angeles office, will present a webinar for Strafford titled “Mitigating Mass Arbitration: Revising Arbitration Clauses and Rethinking Defense Strategies” on Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. EDT.

The 90 minute webinar, hosted by Strafford, a web-based host for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses, will discuss “how counsel can mitigate the cost of mass arbitration through contractual and litigation solutions,” and will “explore the rise of mass arbitration, recently developed mass arbitration protocols, and the logistics of running a mass arbitration, as well as discuss the litigation and contractual options available for defendants anticipating and facing mass arbitration,” according to the event’s website.

Scott is a nationally recognized trial lawyer with substantial experience acting as lead trial counsel for many cases before judges, jurors, and arbitrators. He represents clients in major litigation in a wide variety of areas, including media and entertainment, intellectual property, class action, unfair competition, commercial contract disputes, and business torts. Scott’s clients include some of the nation’s largest companies.

McCarthy focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and class action defense. He also handles matters related to financial institutions, construction, real estate, privacy, and appellate litigation.
