Elisa H. Baca

Elisa H. Baca is an associate in the firm’s Miami Litigation Practice. She concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation matters in both federal and state courts, representing businesses in matters involving claims of consumer fraud, breach of contract, and business tort claims. She has helped clients defeat class certification and obtain summary judgments and outright dismissals prior to trial. Elisa also has experience in construction and real estate-related litigation.

  • Obtained a dismissal with prejudice for air conditioning manufacturer in a putative class action lawsuit alleging product defects and asserting warranty breaches and violation of consumer protection laws, including FDUTPA.
  • Defending a pet food manufacturer in a series of putative class action lawsuits throughout the United States involving, among other things, claims for breach of state consumer protection statutes, state deceptive trade practices acts, breach of express and implied warranties, and unjust enrichment.
  • Defending manufacturer of water connector products in putative class action lawsuit alleging failure to warn, design defects, breach of warranty, and unjust enrichment.
  • Obtained dismissal for fashion designer in alleged tortious interference lawsuit.
  • Conducted internal white collar investigations for private companies in connection with, among other things, government investigations and alleged health care fraud.
  • Represented corporations in wrongful termination, employment discrimination, and wage and hour lawsuits.
