Greenberg Traurig Attorney Rich J. Fidei Speaks at the LOMA Customer Service Conference

FORT LAUDERDALE, TALLAHASSEE and ORLANDO, Fla. March  25, 2015Richard J. Fidei, shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee offices of international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A., will be speaking at the Life Office Management Association, Inc. Customer Service Conference (“LOMA”) in Orlando, Florida. Fidei is a presenter on the topic “Social Media Compliance” on March 27. Both federal and state laws regulate social media use, and there are many compliance pitfalls that a company must be aware of. Fidei will cover some of the major compliance issues that must be considered, including: marketing and unfair trade practices; data collection; cyber security; vendor/agent oversight; workplace issues; and claims handling. The conference is geared for business professionals who focus on customer service, operations, marketing, claims or Internet technology that want to achieve exceptional customer service.

Fidei is a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig's Insurance Regulatory and Transactions Practice Group and Government Law & Policy Group in Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee. Fidei focuses his practice on national insurance regulatory and compliance matters. He represents a wide variety of insurance entities including insurance companies, health plans, reinsurers, managing general agencies, brokers, third-party administrators, claims companies and other insurance-related entities in connection with regulatory, corporate, compliance and transactional issues. Fidei is experienced in the formation, licensure and capitalization of insurers, business expansion activities, financial and market conduct examinations, reinsurance and alternate risk transfer mechanisms, product filings, as well as many other operational and regulatory issues applicable to insurance entities.

Fidei received a bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Duquesne University School of Law.
