FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – March 17, 2015 – Michele L. Stocker, a Shareholder and Chair of the national Financial Services Litigation Practice at the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. has been elected to the 2015-16 Orange Bowl Committee.
The Orange Bowl Committee is a nonprofit sports organization that promotes and serves South Florida through the promotion of championship sporting events, related premier entertainment, and other year-round activities.
“I am honored to join the Orange Bowl Committee,” said Stocker. “I look forward to this opportunity to engage and enhance the South Florida community through Orange Bowl events and activities.”
As a commercial litigator at Greenberg Traurig, Stocker represents clients in the financial services industry, including local and national banks, consumer finance companies, mortgage bankers, credit card companies, and third-party debt collectors. She also regularly advises clients in employment-related matters involving discrimination, harassment, severance agreements, restrictive covenants, and wage and hour issues.
Her professional and community involvement includes: Board of Governors Member, NSU Art Museum; Member, American Bar Association, Business Law Section, Consumer Financial Services Committee; Member, National Bar Association; Board Member, Intercoastal Division, Children's Home Society of Florida; and Board Member/ Vice Chair, Crockett Foundation.
Throughout her career, Stocker has been presented with numerous awards and accolades.
