LONDON – 30 April 2015 – Highly regarded antitrust litigation and competition attorney Gillian Sproul will join Greenberg Traurig Maher LLP, the London office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, as a shareholder in the firm’s Antitrust Litigation & Competition Practice. Gillian joins from Mayer Brown JSM.

Gillian brings depth to the Greenberg Traurig Maher practice with 25 years of experience advising major international businesses across a wide range of sectors, obtaining EU and UK  clearances, and coordinating multijurisdictional clearances, for numerous high profile M&A transactions; representing them in some of the key recent cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, in appeals to the UK and EU courts and in private antitrust litigation; and advising them on the antitrust aspects of their business strategy.

“We are very happy to have Gillian join our Antitrust Litigation & Competition Practice. Her knowledge and experience in antitrust and competition matters will strengthen our London and international team,” said Paul Maher, chairman of Greenberg Traurig Maher LLP in London and co-chairman of the firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Gillian’s hire follows the hire of five other new shareholders in London over the past seven months, and will bring the total shareholder number in London to 22.
