Greenberg Traurig’s Emerging Technology Group Presents on Corporate and Intellectual Property Basics at Northwestern University’s Startup Incubator, The Garage

BOSTON — Feb. 29, 2016 — Today, attorneys from Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Emerging Technology Practice in Boston presented, “From the Ground Up: Corporate and Intellectual Property (IP) Basics,” to student entrepreneurs at Northwestern University’s startup incubator, The Garage. The presentation focused on choosing the type of legal business entity, attracting venture and angel funding, and developing, protecting, and monetizing IP assets. Firm presenters included Boston corporate attorney Daniel J. Blanchard and Boston IP attorney Todd Basile. Prior to the seminar, attorneys from the Boston and Chicago offices of Greenberg Traurig held office hours at The Garage to meet with entrepreneurs and discuss legal issues affecting their business, industry, and venture.

On Monday, April 25, 2016, Greenberg Traurig will return to The Garage to present, “Business Basics,” which will guide the startup teams through the process of setting up a new venture. Greenberg Traurig corporate attorney Abdullah Mallik (Boston) will serve as a presenter.
