The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Margaret Isa Butler and Jean Shafiroff

Margaret Isa Butler is a private equity, real estate, and public-private partnership lawyer at Greenberg Traurig, LLP and a partner in the firm. Margaret serves on the Advisory Board of the Private Equity Program at Columbia Business School. She also spearheads the Harvard Club of New York's M&A interest group and hosts a women’s salon in New York City, where she gathers female leaders in business, public policy, philanthropy, culture and more, to exchange ideas and collaborate on creative ways to make the world a better place. Most recently she hosted a salon celebrating International Women's Day with a focus on impact investing, which are made on behalf of companies, organizations or funds that generate a beneficial social or environmental impact in addition to a financial return.

Jean Shafiroff is a philanthropist and author of the book, Successful Philanthropy, a practical guide to modern giving that redefines philanthropy for today’s era. Far more than making monetary donations, philanthropy today encompasses giving time and knowledge, resources that can be just as valuable as financial contributions. Whether you’re a new philanthropist, a member of a charity’s Board of Directors, or just getting started as a volunteer, Successful Philanthropy offers the practical guidance and inspiring perspective that empowers all of us to take part in building a better world.
