PALM BEACH, Fla. – May. 19, 2016 – Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Practice Chair Robert S. Fine and Of Counsel Marc B. Koenigsberg presented at the 12th Annual National Association of Dealer Counsel (NADC) Member Conference May 15-17, 2016, at the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach, Florida. The two teamed up with Doug Greenhaus, of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), and Donna Danielewski, of the National Center for Accessible Media, for a session on ADA Compliance titled, “The Store, The Website and The Test Drive.”
“Robert and Marc have extensive knowledge about the ADA’s federal and state rules and regulations and provided attendees with a valuable session highlighting what they need to know as automotive dealer counsel handling complex legal issues,” said Stephen J. Dietrich, chair of the firm’s Automotive Dealerships Practice, which often works closely with the ADA Practice members on behalf of clients.
The NADC is a nationwide professional organization of nearly 500 attorneys who represent automobile and other vehicle dealers. NADC provides a forum for members to exchange information on how to best represent dealer interests with respect to manufacturer franchise issues, regulatory compliance, insurance laws, tax laws, buy/sell agreements, employment laws, and many other issues facing dealers and their counsel.
Fine is a board certified construction law attorney and a Florida-registered, nationally certified architect. His practice focuses on land use, zoning, historic preservation, environmental, and administrative law. Formerly, the City of Miami Beach’s first ADA/Section 504 Coordinator, Fine provides defense counsel and consulting in claims under Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Housing Act, and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. He has consulted on a multitude of projects regarding the ADA, FHA, and similar state and local laws. He also works to adopt as well as challenge building accessibility and life safety codes and laws, where such laws and codes have beneficial or detrimental effects on his clients.
Koenigsberg is a regulatory attorney and business litigator representing clients in both state and federal court. He concentrates his practice on the representation of national consumer product companies and other businesses in compliance, commercial litigation, and government enforcement matters. He has also defended more than 100 ADA accessibility cases for both public and private entities, including website accessibility, as well as compliance counseling on ADA Titles II and III, and related state laws.
