Greenberg Traurig Lands 2 New Hires From Cravath, Simpson

Greenberg Traurig LLP said it has added to its corporate securities practice in New York a former Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP lawyer who focuses on executive compensation and employee benefits and a former Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP lawyer who represents private equity sponsors and others in a variety of transactions.

The new Greenberg Traurig shareholders, who started with the firm in May, are Audry X. Casusol, formerly of Cravath, and Richard C. Kim, formerly of Simpson, the firm announced on June 6, saying that its global corporate and securities practice in New York has achieved unprecedented growth with the addition of 13 shareholders who have joined the practice since January 2015.

“We pride ourselves on the ability to forecast client needs and to then recruit talented attorneys who strengthen and add depth to our New York and global practice,” said New York shareholder Alan Annex, deputy chair of the global corporate and securities practice. “Audry’s executive compensation and benefits experience is a huge asset to our clients and Richard’s borrower-side leveraged finance and private equity experience further strengthens our existing capabilities.”
