Greenberg Traurig LLP said Monday it has bolstered its government and environmental practices by picking up an experienced environmental policy lawyer and former U.S. Department of the Interior special assistant to the solicitor from Holland & Hart LLP.
Steven Barringer joined the firm’s government law and policy division and environmental division as a shareholder in Washington, D.C., where he will bring more than 30 years of experience counseling clients on federal legislative, agency, and regulatory strategy concerning toxic chemicals, hazardous waste and water quality.
At Greenberg Traurig, Barringer will continue to focus his environmental practice on solid and hazardous waste management and disposal, mercury use and disposal regulation, mining and public lands law, regulation of toxic substances, reporting requirements for toxic chemicals, and environmental remediation.
