Shareholder Fred E. Karlinsky Speaks at the Associated Industries of Florida Annual Conference

FORT LAUDERDALE and TALLAHASSEE, FL – August 30, 2017 Fred E. Karlinsky, shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee offices of international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A. participated in the Constitutional Revision Commission (CRC) Panel at the Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida Aug. 22-24. Karlinsky serves on the Florida CRC as Chair of the Finance and Taxation Committee and member of the Rules and Administration Committee.

In addition to Karlinsky, other panelists included CRC Commissioner Marva Johnson, CRC Commissioner Sen. Tom Lee, and CRC Commissioner former Sen. Chris Smith. The panel was moderated by Carlos Alfonso, Chair, The Council of 100 CRC Task Force and 1997-1998 CRC Commissioner.

Karlinsky is Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Insurance Regulatory and Transactions Practice and a shareholder within the Government Law & Policy Group. He has 25 years of experience representing the interests of insurers, reinsurers and a wide variety of other insurance-related entities on their regulatory, transactional, corporate and governmental affairs matters. Karlinsky is a recognized authority on national insurance regulatory and compliance issues and has taken a leadership position in many insurance trade organizations, has led many industry-driven legislative and regulatory initiatives, and is a sought after thought leader who has spoken and presented to insurance executives and governmental officials, both nationally and internationally.

Karlinsky has been a primary strategist in all types of insurance-related legislative and regulatory initiatives for all kinds of insurance, including homeowners, automobile, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice and other lines of property and casualty and life and health insurance.

Karlinsky received a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law.
