Lori G. Cohen and Sara K. Thompson to Speak at the 23rd Annual ACI Conference on Drug & Medical Device Litigation

ATLANTA – Nov. 28, 2018 – Shareholders Lori G. Cohen and Sara K. Thompson of the Atlanta office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP are speaking at the 23rd Annual American Conference Institute (ACI) Conference on Drug & Medical Device Litigation. The three-day conference will be held in New York City from Nov. 28 through Nov. 30 at the New York Marriott Marquis. The firm is sponsoring the conference, hosting a luncheon, and co-hosting a reception on Nov. 29 at the Renaissance Hotel Times Square.

ACI’s Annual Drug & Medical Device Litigation event is a “forward-looking think-tank” that brings in-house and outside counsel, judges, and government regulators together to discuss issues impacting the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. On Nov. 29, Cohen is moderating the “GC and CLO Roundtable: What Keeps Them Up at Night,” and Thompson is speaking in the “Training the Future Generations of Life Sciences Attorneys to Become the Next Deans of the Products Liability Bar” session.

Cohen serves as chair and Thompson as vice chair of the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice. Cohen also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Global Litigation Practice, chair of the Trial Practice Group, and co-chair of the Atlanta Litigation Practice.

Cohen has attended and spoken at this annual conference each of the 23 years that it has taken place, other than when she has been in trial. Cohen regularly discusses her previous case work across the country, covering all types of litigation and trial counsel experience with pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. Thompson has attended this annual event for each of the last 10 years, and this is her second time speaking. Thompson also has wide-ranging experience representing manufacturers of medical devices and a variety of pharmaceuticals, as well as consumer products, cosmetics, and personal care products.
