Hilarie Bass and Alan N. Sutin Spoke at Israel’s 4th Annual Foreign Law Firms Conference

NEW YORK – March 2, 2018 – Greenberg Traurig Co-President and President of the American Bar Association, Hilarie Bass, delivered the keynote address on Feb. 26 at Israel’s 4th Annual Foreign Law Firms Conference in Tel Aviv. Alan N. Sutin, a shareholder in the New York office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP and Senior Chair of the firm’s global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice also was a featured speaker at the event.

Israel’s 4th Annual Foreign Law Firms Conference brought together more than 400 attorneys from around the world and featured six panels focusing on international technology trends in the legal market, including Technology Hostile Takeovers, FinTech, International Disputes, Intellectual Property, and Artificial Intelligence. Bass focused her talk on the importance of an independent judiciary. Sutin spoke on the panel discussing recent developments in the area of Cyber Security.

Bass is one of the most prominent women attorneys in the United States and has successfully represented high-profile corporate clients in jury and non-jury trials involving hundreds of millions of dollars in controversy. She has worked and settled more than 100 cases, tried more than 20 cases to conclusion, and argued numerous appeals. In recognition of that success, she was inducted into The American College of Trial Lawyers. She is currently president of the American Bar Association, the world’s largest voluntary professional organization with more than 400,000 members.

Sutin is an experienced business lawyer with a principal focus on transactions involving the development, acquisition, disposition and commercial exploitation of technology-related products and services. He also counsels companies on a wide-range of issues relating to privacy and cybersecurity issues.
