DENVER – April 17, 2018 – Troy A. Eid, a shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Denver office, has been elected vice president of the Navajo Nation Bar Association, Inc. (NNBA).
Based in St. Michaels, Arizona, the NNBA was established to promote the practice of law in the Navajo Nation; to recommend candidates for admission to practice law before the Navajo Courts; and to establish and ensure the quality of training programs for practitioners. The NNBA also advises on the selection of judges in the Navajo Courts, counsels the Courts on rule changes and other measures, and recommends legislation to enhance the Navajo Court system.
“I am honored to become vice president of the Navajo Nation Bar Association,” Eid said. “NNBA has done laudable work in enhancing the practice and administration of law in the Navajo Nation, and I am excited to join its stellar leadership team.”
Eid focuses his litigation, mediation, and transactional practice on government enforcement, investigations and compliance, environmental law, energy and natural resource development, and Federal Indian law and Native American and Alaska Native tribal law. He is a trusted advocate and mediator in the Rocky Mountain West and in federal, state, and tribal trial and appellate courtrooms across the country.
Eid has been listed as among The Best Lawyers in America for Native American Law, Environmental Law, and Natural Resources Law; recognized among The Legal 500 United States in the areas of Environment and Litigation; and listed in Chambers USA Guide from 2010 to 2017.
