ATLANTA – June 1, 2018 – The Daily Report has selected Evan Holden, a shareholder in the Atlanta office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, for its 2018 “On the Rise” class. Holden, a member of the Products Liability & Mass Torts Practice, defends complex matters faced by his pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare clients, coordinating fact finding and discovery nationwide, identifying and preparing expert witnesses, and preparing complex cases for trial.
The Daily Report chose 20 accomplished attorneys under the age of 40 who are expected to go far in the field for its annual “On the Rise” special edition. The winners will also be recognized at the publication’s Professional Excellence dinner in June.
“Evan joined my team as an associate early in his career, and he’s been a standout from the very beginning,” said Lori G. Cohen, co-chair of the firm’s Global Litigation Practice, and chair of the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation and Trial Practice groups. “Since that time, he’s grown into a true leader in our practice group, handling high-stakes cases for some of our largest clients. Whether for clients based here in Atlanta or for national clients enmeshed in complex mass torts, Evan has been an instrumental member of the team. I expect this honor will become one on a long list of accolades Evan will amass over his career.”
Apart from his work at Greenberg Traurig, Holden is actively involved in the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the nation’s leading membership organization for lawyers in the civil defense bar. He serves in positions of leadership in its Young Lawyer’s Committee and serves as the Young Lawyer Liaison to its Drug & Medical Device Committee. He speaks at its national conferences, including organizing and moderating a panel of in-house counsel from major pharmaceutical companies at DRI’s Drug & Medical Device seminar in May 2017.
Holden was recognized as a 2017 and 2018 “Rising Star” by Georgia Super Lawyers and he and his fellow team members were selected as the Daily Report’s "Georgia Products Liability & Mass Torts Litigation Department of the Year" in 2013 and from 2015-2017 and as The American Lawyer’s “Litigation Department of the Year” for Product Liability in 2018.
