Colin S. Baker Installed as President of the Federal Bar Association Orlando Chapter

ORLANDO – Oct. 28, 2019 – Colin S. Baker, a shareholder in the Orlando office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was recently installed as president of the Orlando Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

The Orlando Chapter of the Federal Bar Association serves federal lawyers and members of the federal judiciary in the Orlando area, inclusive of Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia counties. Local chapters monitor and keep members informed of current federal issues, provide opportunities for scholarship and education, and events for judges and lawyers to interact professionally and socially.

“It is a privilege to serve as president of the Federal Bar Association’s Orlando Chapter, and I look forward to promoting the interests of our membership,” Baker said. “As an organization with a long history of supporting the professional development of all local federal practitioners, we look forward to providing many opportunities for career development and professional interaction.”

At Greenberg Traurig, Baker is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice and focuses on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. He represents clients in matters involving shareholder and partnership disputes, contracts, business torts, creditor’s rights, employment issues, and real estate ownership and development. Baker has also represented various local governments in complex constitutional litigation in federal and state courts.

Active within the Orlando community at large, Baker was recently appointed to the board of directors of the Orange County Regional History Center. He is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Downtown Orlando Partnership (DOP), and a graduate of Leadership Orlando’s 90th Class.
