TAMPA – Nov. 2, 2020 – James O. Lang, a shareholder in the Tampa office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list. The honor recognizes young professionals under the age of 40 who have achieved success in their industries and demonstrate a commitment to bettering Tampa Bay.
This year’s 40 business people were chosen from almost 500 nominations and 215 submissions, according to the publication. To qualify, honorees must reside in Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, or Sarasota counties.
Honorees were featured in the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Due to Covid-19, the Business Journal will forgo an in-person event this year.

Lang, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Tax Practice, focuses his tax and corporate project finance practice on tax incentive programs, Qualified Opportunity Zone deployment and investment, and Qualified Opportunity Fund financing, tax credits, and related state and federal incentive programs. Lang represents funds, investors, lenders, community development entities, and for-profit and not-for-profit project sponsors in complex transactions where capital stacks require enhancement through incentive financing, including Qualified Opportunity Zone incentives, state and federal new markets tax credits, affordable housing and low-income housing tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and renewable energy tax credits. Lang also represents expansions and relocations of operating businesses as well as real estate development or rehabilitation projects.
Lang is a member of the Board of Directors of the Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay, and former chair of the International Committee of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council. He also serves as advisor to the Sunshine State Low-Income Community Advocacy Coalition, the Black Farmers Rural Funding Initiative, and the Young Men’s Christian Association of Greater St. Petersburg, Florida.
