NEW YORK April 16, 2020 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced the elevation of Robert F. Alleman, Julie P. Bookbinder, and Pallav Raghuvanshi to Shareholder and Jeffrey R. Colin, Brian Prew, Ryan A. Wagner, and Paul G. Yakulis to Of Counsel in its New York office.

Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig announced the elevation of 44 attorneys to shareholder. The new shareholders span 22 offices and 13 practice areas. The firm also announced the elevation to of counsel and counsel of 34 attorneys from 18 offices, practicing in 11 areas of law. In addition, the firm reported a sixth consecutive year of record revenue – more than USD $1.64 billion.

Alleman, a member of the Real Estate Practice, focuses his practice on complex commercial real estate assets and investments, including joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, construction, and redevelopment. He has a wide range of experience in the firm’s representation of developers, owners, investors, operators, family offices, lenders, and banking institutions in connection with real estate investments of all classes and types.

Bookbinder, a member of the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, focuses on many areas of IP including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation, patent prosecution, and non-litigation enforcement of trademarks and copyrights. Her experience spans a wide range of technologies and industry sectors, including financial services, aerospace, automotive, avionics, biotechnology, chemical, consumer products, electronics, medical devices, and online/website technology.

Raghuvanshi, a member of the Tax Practice, focuses his practice on U.S. and international tax matters in the context of corporate restructurings and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, business formations, and joint ventures. He is experienced handling spin-off transactions for large multinational companies, various inbound and outbound transactions involving issues related to foreign tax credits, tax treaties, controlled foreign corporations, and other international reorganization issues. He also advises domestic and non-U.S. clients on matters related to real estate investments, fund formation, and other tax issues on U.S. investments faced by U.S. taxable and tax exempt investors, sovereign wealth funds, and other non-U.S. taxable and tax-exempt investors such as qualified pension plans.

Colin, a member of the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, concentrates his practice on complex patent litigation with a focus on pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer electronics. He has experience litigating patent infringement cases arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act and pertaining to drugs for treating various diseases, as well as electronics cases concerning wireless communications, cellular communications, and computer software.

Prew, a member of the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, has wide-ranging experience litigating intellectual property matters in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, computer software, biotechnology, and financial services with a concentration in patent challenges under the Hatch-Waxman Act. He also has experience in virtually all aspects of patent litigation, including the development of case strategies, fact and expert discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals.

Wagner, a member of the Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice, focuses his practice on Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations, restructurings, workouts, distressed M&A, corporate and energy reorganizations and liquidations, distressed debt transactions, and other financial transactions. He has broad experience in cross-border bankruptcies and restructurings, including the recognition and enforcement of such proceedings in the United States under Chapter 15 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Yakulis, a member of the Corporate Practice, focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, as well as divestitures, joint ventures, equity investments, and general corporate representations. He regularly represents private equity sponsors, venture capital firms, and other domestic and multinational clients across a wide variety of industries.
