Charles Andres and David Dykeman to Present on New Strategies in IP Portfolio Management

WASHINGTON – Oct. 26, 2021 Shareholders Charles J. Andres and David J. Dykeman of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Intellectual Property (IP) & Technology Practice will be panelists on the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (SoPE) and The George Washington University webinar "New Strategies in IP Portfolio Management - The Do's, Don'ts, and Gambles" on  Oct. 28, 2021 at noon EDT. Andres, who is based in Greenberg Traurig’s Washington, D.C. office, is a registered patent attorney focused on patent prosecution, strategic patent counseling, IP due diligence, drug and medical device FDA regulatory counseling, invalidity and non-infringement opinions, life-cycle management, transactional work, and related business matters. A trusted advisor, he has built and sold, licensed, and partnered patent portfolios for over eight billion dollars, and separately performed diligences that led to over eight billion dollars in investments. Andres has been invited to speak at conferences and programs worldwide. In addition, he has co-authored over 100 legal publications and three U.S. Supreme Court amicus briefs.

Dykeman, who serves as co-chair of the firm’s Life Sciences & Medical Technology Practice and as co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Boston office, is a registered patent attorney with nearly 25 years of experience in patent and IP law. His practice focuses on securing worldwide IP protection and related business strategies for high tech clients, with particular experience in medical devices, life sciences, robotics, materials, and information technology. An author of over 55 articles and a speaker at over 50 conferences, Dykeman is the founding co-chair of the American Bar Association (ABA)’s Medical Devices Committee.
