Greenberg Traurig’s Kelly McNamee Named to City & State’s 2021 Pride Power 100 List

ALBANY- June 23, 2021Kelly L. McNamee, a Litigation & Energy Law Practice shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Albany office, has been named to City & State’s 2021 “Pride Power 100” list. 

McNamee is recognized for giving her time generously to pro bono and publishing activities, including representing transgender clients in asylum proceedings and authoring articles covering First Amendment and LGBTQ+ topics. She recently published an article in the NYSBA Journal regarding her experience as a LGBTQ+ job candidate and diversity efforts in Big Law. McNamee also serves on the boards of both the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall and the Capital Region chapter of Girls, Inc.  

At Greenberg Traurig, McNamee focuses her practice on commercial litigation and energy law.  She has experience in a variety of civil litigation matters, including breach of contract disputes, unfair competition, fraud, securities enforcement and Article 78 proceedings.  Her energy law practice is focused on the representation of national and international corporations that own and operate electric generating facilities in regulatory proceedings before the New York Public Service Commission.  She also has experience defending news organizations from newsgathering and publication-related claims, including defamation and copyright infringement matters.
