Jonathan K. Ogata is a member of the Litigation and Appellate Practices in Greenberg Traurig's Sacramento office. He handles a wide variety of litigation matters in state and federal court with a focus on commercial litigation and governmental litigation. Mr. Ogata has experience representing clients in matters including breach of contract, business torts, trade secrets litigation, and government contracts disputes.
Mr. Ogata’s appellate practice focuses on constitutional, regulatory, and administrative law and agency matters. He has represented clients in federal court including before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Ogata’s appellate experience also includes motion and writ practice in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ogata served as a law clerk for the Honorable Dennis M. Cota, Magistrate Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, where he worked on a variety of civil cases including social security, employment disputes, property disputes, breach of contracts, civil rights, and habeas.
