Robert W. Rubenstein is a member of the Corporate Practice in Greenberg Traurig's Philadelphia office.

Robert advises clients in domestic and international acquisitions, mergers, sale of control transactions, and joint ventures. He has transactional experience involving purchases and sales of companies of all sizes, from asset sales of small companies, to mergers and acquisitions of mid-market businesses.

Robert regularly assists financial institutions and other investment servicing providers in structuring and negotiating their servicing arrangements with private equity, real estate and registered funds, and other institutional investors.

He has also represented clients with transactional real estate matters including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, development projects, and joint ventures. He has advised developers and corporations on redevelopment projects, environmental liability transfers, and in managing environmental risk through contractual mechanisms and specialized environmental insurance products.


Esperienze Professionali - Attività Accademiche

  • Represented a private equity investment and advisory firm in its acquisition of the Budd Site in North Philadelphia and negotiated new legal technology with the EPA. Structured environmental insurance and settlement of municipal charges and negotiated major investment transactions.
  • Represented insurance agencies across the country in sale transactions to large funds.
  • Represented a series of purchasers in the acquisition, remediation and sale of contaminated real property.
  • Represented owner of a large closed landfill facility in California in the negotiation of underwriting of material remediation contracts and pollution liability, contractor’s pollution liability, terrorism and various other lines of owner-controlled insurance programs necessary to facilitate site reuse and redevelopment.
