Greenberg Traurig’s Mark G. Tratos to Speak at Advanced Licensing Agreements Seminar

New York (Apr. 22, 2014) — Shareholder Mark G. Tratos with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is scheduled to speak at Practice Law Institute’s (PLI) Advanced Licensing Agreements 2014 Seminar. The seminar takes place Thursday and Friday April 24-25, 2014 at the PLI New York Center in New York City.

Tratos will be speaking on the topic of “Advance Licensing Agreements in Rights of Publicity for Celebrities” on Friday, April 25th at 3:30 pm. He will also be doing a mock negotiation of an intellectual property licensing deal. According to PLI’s website, the conference will focus on topics of interest such as the more complex issues that arise in drafting and negotiating IP licenses, updates on current legal developments, present case studies highlighting best practices, provide tactical guidance for negotiating frequently contested issues, and provide a framework for identifying and avoiding common pitfalls, keeping the relationship on track, litigation planning and avoidance, and addressing ethics concerns. The speakers will illustrate both outside counsel and in-house perspectives.
