Greenberg Traurig Attorney William B. Mack to Participate in the Financial Markets Association’s 2015 Legal & Legislative Issues Conference

WASHINGTON – Oct. 22, 2015 – William B. Mack, Government Law & Policy Practice of counsel in the New York office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will be speaking at the Financial Markets Association’s (FMA) 2015 Legal & Legislative Issues Conference Oct. 22-23, 2015, at the Hotel Regency in Washington, D.C. Mack will moderate the panel titled “Compliance Officer Personal Liability” Friday, Oct. 23. Greenberg Traurig is also sponsoring the conference.

The FMA’s Legal & Legislative Issues Conference is a valuable forum for banking and securities attorneys, senior compliance officers, and regulators providing for an exchange of information, ideas, and experiences on current hot topic regulatory and legislative/agency initiatives. The focus is on high-level discussion of evolving banking and securities law, enforcement proceedings, financial holding company issues, securities underwriting and distribution, capital markets regulation, and public finance, including a panel of general counsels from the banking, securities, and commodities regulatory agencies.

Mack is experienced in government and politics at the federal, state, and local levels. He focuses his practice on government affairs, and regulatory and compliance matters. He is also experienced in advising companies on regulatory and compliance matters relating to the Securities and Exchange Commission regulations, the Exchange Act, Anti-Money Laundering laws, and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) rules. Prior to joining the firm, Mack was a Principal Counsel for Enforcement at FINRA. Before that, Mack served as a Deputy Associate Counsel at the White House, advising primarily on appointments and investigations.
