Greenberg Traurig’s Ernest Greer Lands Place on 100 Most Influential Atlantans List for Fourth Consecutive Year

ATLANTA – June 26, 2015 — The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced that Ernest Greer has once again been named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s annual 100 Most Influential Atlantans list. Greer, a vice president of the firm and co-managing shareholder of its Atlanta office, appears for the fourth consecutive year after first being named in 2012.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle’s annual special section profiling Atlanta’s 100 most influential people is compiled by the Chronicle’s editors and includes business leaders who have had significant impact. Greer is the only practicing attorney representing a law firm to make the list.

“We are extremely proud of Ernest and his accomplishments,” said Richard A. Rosenbaum, chief executive officer of Greenberg Traurig. “Ernest exhibits his influence not only through his leadership within the firm, but through his service on numerous boards that support the arts, education, human rights, and the Atlanta community. Ernest continuously reflects the firm’s commitment to dedicating our time and talents through active involvement in the communities in which we live and work.”

“Simply put, Ernest epitomizes purposeful leadership,” Co-Managing Shareholder Ted Blum said. “He creates impact with every action, whether professionally through Greenberg Traurig or personally through community endeavors. His decisions are made with integrity, honor, and strength of character. Our firm and the city alike are fortunate to be guided by leaders such as Ernest, as he along with the others on this list are the driving force behind Atlanta’s thriving business community.”

In addition to his roles as a vice president and co-managing shareholder of the Atlanta office, Greer serves on Greenberg Traurig’s executive committee and co-chairs the U.S. Strategic Committee.  Greer, who joined the firm in 1999, focuses his prosperous law practice on representing clients in various complex litigation matters, including class action litigation, construction, contracts (suits on account and guarantee/indemnity agreements), trademarks, products liability, employment, partnership disputes, and other commercial litigation matters. He has wide-ranging trial experience representing clients in multimillion-dollar actions in complex commercial litigation.  Currently, he serves on the Board of Trustees for the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Woodruff Arts Center and the Board of Directors for Achieve Atlanta. Greer is also the former chair of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta.
