Greenberg Traurig Attorney Fred E. Karlinsky to Co-Chair ACI’s National Forum on Insurance Regulation

FORT LAUDERDALE and TALLAHASSEE, Fla. Feb. 26, 2016Fred E. Karlinsky, a shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee offices of international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A., will co-chair the American Conference Institute’s 11th National Forum on Insurance Regulation. Karlinsky, along with Amy Bach, Executive Director of United Policyholders, will welcome insurance industry leaders and decision makers Monday, Feb. 29, at the start of the two-day conference at The Carlton Hotel in New York City. Following his opening remarks, Karlinsky will moderate an informative regulatory roundtable titled, “Federal and State Insurance Regulators Speak out on New  Priorities for 2016, Emerging Trends in State Regulation, Dodd-Frank Impact on State Agendas, and More: Gain Insights to Ensure Your Compliance Programs Are In Line With Upcoming Changes.” Karlinsky has co-chaired the national forum on Insurance regulation on multiple occasions.

Karlinsky is also a co-presenter on the panel titled, “The Debate Over Insurance Price Optimization: The Latest NAIC and State-Level Activity Aimed at Defining, Prohibiting and Controlling This Controversial Practice.” The presentation will address all issues surrounding the price optimization debate in the industry, and the industry response to the practice. 

Karlinsky is Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig's Insurance Regulatory and Transactions Practice Group and a shareholder within the Government Law & Policy Group. He represents insurers, reinsurers, producers and other insurance interests throughout the U.S. and internationally in a wide variety of business, operational, regulatory, transactional and governmental matters. Recognized as one of the top insurance lawyers by Chambers and Partners, Karlinsky has extensive knowledge of insurance compliance matters and is a sought-after thought leader who has spoken and presented papers to insurance executives and governmental officials, both nationally and internationally.

Karlinsky received a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law.
