Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Elected to Prestigious Fellows of the American Bar Foundation

PHOENIX – July 25, 2016 – Quinn Williams, a shareholder in the Phoenix office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF), an honored recognition for attorneys who have demonstrated the highest principles of the legal profession.

Only 1 percent of attorneys licensed to practice in each jurisdiction are eligible to become Fellows, which, according to the ABF website, is an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars “whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession.” Fellows are nominated by peers and elected by the Board of the ABF. Established in 1955, the Fellows support the research of the ABF through their annual contributions, sponsor seminars, and events of relevance to the legal profession.

“This is an outstanding testament to the respect Quinn’s peers have for his professionalism and dedication to doing what’s right for his clients,” said Bruce E. Macdonough, Greenberg Traurig’s managing shareholder in the Phoenix office.

Williams focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, venture capital transactions, and advising on the formation and funding of emerging companies. His industry experience includes technology, retail, automotive, media, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, and specialty service industries. Williams serves as corporate counsel for private companies and was formerly general counsel of an international retail franchisor. In addition, Williams advises boards and management on capital formation, governance, and compliance issues.

Admitted to practice law in Arizona and New York, Williams serves on the boards of the American Liver Association, Arizona Chapter, and the American Heart Association, Grand Canyon Chapter. He is also a director emeritus with the Arizona Technology Council.
