Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Present at Association of Corporate Counsel Event

MIAMI – Oct. 9, 2017 – Greenberg Traurig, P.A. Miami attorneys Francisco O. Sanchez and Evelyn A. Cobos recently presented at the 8th Annual CLE Conference, “Hit Hard, Run Fast: Tips for Hitting a Home Run in Dispute Resolution,” hosted by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), South Florida Chapter. The conference took place on Oct. 6 at the Bonaventure Resort & Spa in Weston, Florida.

Sanchez and Cobos presented insight and recommendations on “Key Considerations for Drafting an Effective Arbitration Clause.” Their presentation provided an overview of the rules and governing law of arbitration, the advantages to including interim relief in arbitration clauses, as well as important discovery considerations.

At Greenberg Traurig, Sanchez is a shareholder in the firm’s Litigation Practice. He is a business litigator who focuses on assisting clients in resolving disputes and achieving business objectives in the most cost-effective manner possible. In addition to handling complex commercial matters of various types, including federal and state court litigation, administrative proceedings, and international and domestic arbitrations, Sanchez’s practice includes conducting internal corporate investigations and advising clients regarding a variety of regulatory compliance and other internal corporate issues. His current client base consists of a variety of corporations and businesses with international operations in Latin America and elsewhere abroad.

An associate in the firm’s Miami Litigation Practice, Cobos focuses her practice on civil litigation matters, including complex commercial claims and business disputes. She has experience handling internal investigations and matters involving Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations and compliance. Cobos also has experience representing clients in a variety of insurance defense matters.
