CHICAGO – Dec. 5, 2017 – Nancy A. Peterman, a shareholder in the Chicago office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, is speaker at the Oklahoma Bar Association’s 32nd Annual Advanced Bankruptcy Seminar Thursday, December 7th in Oklahoma City. Peterman will lead an educational session about issues in healthcare bankruptcies.
Peterman is chair of the Chicago Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice. She focuses her practice on corporate restructurings, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights law, and has a wide range of experience representing debtors, purchasers of assets, committees, and secured creditors. She has substantial experience in distressed health care transactions and has played central roles in numerous health care cases. She was instrumental in enacting the health care insolvency provisions of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Peterman has lectured and spoken extensively on health care bankruptcy issues, including co-authoring the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Health Care Insolvency Manual. She is also a former co-chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Committee on Health Care Insolvency.
