PHOENIX – March 5, 2018– Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP elevated Katherine A. Beck to shareholder and Paul M. Gales, Jr. to of counsel in the firm’s Phoenix office. Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig elevated 42 attorneys to shareholder from 21 of the firm’s offices and 14 practice areas, with women attorneys making up 50 percent of the firm’s 2018 new shareholder class.

In addition to the elevations, Greenberg Traurig reported firmwide revenue for FY2017 of $1,477,180,000, an increase of 7.28 percent over 2016. This is the fourth consecutive year of record-setting revenues for the firm. The firm’s Profit per Equity Partner increased 5.42 percent to a record $1,634,000.
Beck focuses her practice in the areas of corporate and securities law, representing both public and private companies in public offerings, private placements, and mergers and acquisitions. She represents issuers, selling stockholders, and underwriters in public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities. She also represents public companies with respect to SEC reporting, corporate governance, director fiduciary duties, and general securities and corporate matters. In addition, she represents both public and private companies with respect to mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital transactions.
Gales focuses his practice on various types of tax-exempt and taxable financings, including general obligation, sales tax, revenue, and special assessment, certificate of participation and municipal leasing issues and financings for water and sewer and education projects. He has represented issuers, underwriters and other types of participants in a comprehensive variety of municipal and finance transactions.
