GT Participates in USC Intellectual Property Institute 2018 Event

LOS ANGELES – March 15, 2018 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Marc H. Trachtenberg, a shareholder in the firm’s Chicago office, will participate as a moderator at the USC Gould School of Law Intellectual Property Institute 2018 event, March 20, 2018. Susan L. Heller, co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Orange County office, chair of the Global Trademark & Brand Management Group, and co-chair of the firm’s Women’s Initiative, is returning as a member of the executive and planning committees of the event. The Intellectual Property Institute gathers nationally recognized thought leaders to discuss emerging issues and trends in copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, and related fields.

This year’s event, held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, will consist of morning plenary sessions, a luncheon keynote address, afternoon breakout sessions, and various networking opportunities, including a special networking breakfast for women in IP. Greenberg Traurig is a returning sponsor of the annual event.

Trachtenberg, a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, will moderate a panel at 2:05 p.m. titled “"Whatever Happened to 3D Printing?" The panelists will discuss whether or not 3D printing is on track to disrupt traditional manufacturing and licensing; explore how various brand owners have embraced 3D printing; and overview various enforcement tactics that brand owners should use to address issues presented by the 3D printing industry.
