Greenberg Traurig’s Diane Blagman Re-elected as Board of Governor for The Recording Academy’s D.C. Chapter

WASHINGTON D.C. – June 22, 2018 Diane Blagman, Senior Director of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s  Government Law & Policy Practice, has been re-elected as a Board of Governor for the Washington, D.C. Chapter of The Recording Academy (the GRAMMYs®). 

“The Recording Academy plays a vital role in supporting and advocating for artists, producers, songwriters, and other professionals working in the music industry,” Blagman said. “I am proud to have been elected as Board of Governor again and look forward to continuing to support this important cause.”

Blagman will continue to serve as a co-chair of the Board’s Advocacy Committee. She has also previously served on the Nominating and Advocacy committees of the Washington, D.C. chapter.

With more than 20years of experience working on Capitol Hill, Blagman has represented numerous performers, songwriters, including the Recording Academy, the GRAMMY Foundation® SESAC, Inc., and Global Music Rights. Additionally, she provides strategic advice to numerous municipalities, corporations, public entities, and not-for-profit organizations. Before joining Greenberg Traurig, she served as a Chief of Staff to a senior member of Congress and as staff on the House Appropriations Committee. 

The Recording Academy is an organization of musicians, songwriters, producers, engineers, and recording professionals that is dedicated to improving the cultural condition and quality of life for music and its makers.
