BOSTON – Jan. 29, 2019 – David J. Dykeman, patent attorney and co-chair of Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group and Boston Intellectual Property & Technology (IP) Group, moderated the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (MassBio) symposium panel, “Building an IP Fence Around Your Drug Device Combination Product,” Jan. 24. The seminar was hosted by MassBio’s Medical Devices Committee. Greenberg Traurig Boston Shareholder Roman Fayerberg is a founding committee member.
Dykeman’s panel session addressed how combination products today blend drugs, devices, and services to improve patient outcomes. Panelists discussed how device IP can add further value and protection by including hardware, software, and data mining in addition to traditional delivery, diagnostic, and monitoring devices.
