Greenberg Traurig’s Ed Wallace Moderates Discussion at Citizens Budget Commission Conference

Event Focuses on ‘Most Important Fiscal and Economic Issues Facing New York State’

NEW YORK – Jan. 2, 2019 –  Attorney Ed Wallace, often described in the media as one of New York’s most influential, directed the discussion during the lunchtime panel at the recent Citizens Budget Commission (CBC) conference, which focused on what the organization called “The Most Important Fiscal and Economic Issues Facing New York State.”

Wallace serves as vice chair and outside general counsel for the CBC and is co-chair of the New York City office of award-winning global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP.

Participating on Wallace’s panel were reporters Laura Nahmias with POLITICO New York and Jimmy Vielkind from the Wall Street Journal; and New York Post editorial board member Michael Benjamin. The conference was held Dec. 17 at SUNY Global Center. Video of Wallace’s panel can be viewed at this link.

The half-day conference brought together CBC trustees, policy experts, state officials, and business and civic leaders to discuss the key economic and fiscal issues facing the governor and other state leaders. According to the CBC, the organization is a “nonpartisan, nonprofit civic organization whose mission is to achieve constructive change in the finances and services of New York City and New York State government.”
