Greenberg Traurig Elevates 4 Attorneys in Boston Office

BOSTON – March 5, 2019 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP elevated Jack S. Gearan and Nicholas A. Insogna to shareholder, and Dina E. Conlin and Bethany A. Stokes to of counsel. All four attorneys reside in the firm’s Boston office.

Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig announced the elevation of 32 attorneys to shareholder and 27 to of counsel/counsel in more than 20 areas of legal practice. The firm, which earlier this year opened its 30th office in the United States and 39th worldwide, also reported a fifth consecutive year of record revenue of more than USD $1.55 Billion, an increase of USD $80 Million over 2017.

Gearan concentrates his practice in the areas of Labor & Employment and business litigation, where he defends companies and public institutions in labor and employment and business disputes.  He is experienced in complex employment litigation and trials, and frequently handles state and federal whistleblower claims, non-compete and restrictive covenant litigation, wage and hour litigation, and individual employee discrimination, harassment, and retaliation litigation and arbitrations. In addition to his litigation practice, Gearan regularly advises companies regarding employment law in connection with various corporate transactions. Gearan is also a member of the firm’s ERISA & Employment Benefits Litigation Practice and Education Practice.

Insogna is a shareholder in the firm's Litigation Practice. He has broad experience in many types of litigation and appellate matters in both state and federal courts and has handled all phases of litigation, from the pleadings stage through discovery, alternative dispute resolution, and both jury and court trials. He has particular experience in handling claims of pharmaceutical and medical device products liability, family trust management, securities, employee discrimination and harassment, and all types of fiduciary duty disputes.

A member of the Real Estate Practice, Conlin advises clients in many aspects of commercial real estate transactions, representing sellers and purchasers of commercial property, including financing and the structuring of private equity transactions; land owners in ground leasing and development projects; and private companies with respect to the real estate aspect of mergers and stock purchases. She also advises clients on zoning and other land use matters. Conlin has wide-ranging experience with projects on public lands, having represented a public agency in the ground leasing and development of lands involving public rights-of-way and state and federal oversight.

Stokes is an intellectual property (IP) attorney, practicing in the areas of trademark prosecution, licensing, and IP due diligence. With a focus on assisting clients in the selection, clearance, and prosecution of trademarks worldwide, she counsels clients on all aspects of procurement and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including domestic and international trademarks. Stokes also focuses her practice on intellectual property transactional matters including negotiating and drafting of licensing, joint venture and other IP-related agreements and conducting intellectual property due diligence investigations in M&A transactions.
