Tracy Gerber to Speak at SIFMA 2019 C&L Seminar

WEST PALM BEACH – March 21, 2019 – Greenberg Traurig, P.A. shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s Broker Dealer Securities Litigation Practice Tracy L. Gerber will speak at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) 2019 C&L Annual Seminar to be held on March 24-27 in Phoenix, Arizona. The global law firm also is a sponsor of the seminar, considered to be the premier event for compliance and legal professionals working in the financial services industry.

Gerber will participate on the panel “MA-2 Arbitration: Issues and Strategies [LIT],” which will cover drafting and enforcement of arbitration provisions in employment agreements; modified arbitration procedures; issues in electronic discovery; effective use of demonstratives; and recent legal developments.

“The issues and strategies session aims to provide legal professionals attending the seminar with unique insight and thought leadership on current trends in arbitration,” said Gerber, who is co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s West Palm Beach office and a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice. “Our panel of seasoned arbitration practitioners will share their recent experiences and update attendees on the latest case law, rule changes, and trends.”

Gerber regularly defends major Wall Street brokerage firms, registered investment advisers and other financial institutions in a wide variety of employment disputes in arbitration, before administrative agencies, and in state and federal courts nationwide. She has substantial cross-over experience in the regulatory and sales practice arena, having handled numerous Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and state regulatory inquiries, investigations and enforcement proceedings, as well as customer arbitrations.
