PHILADELPHIA April 17, 2019 – Continuing its expansion, the Philadelphia office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP held a client- and community focused event to celebrate its move to Three Logan Square, a space fully-equipped to accommodate its growing ranks of attorneys and clients’ needs.

“After spending two decades at 20th and Market streets, we decided to make a little change,” Philadelphia Managing Shareholder Curtis B. Toll told the more than 235 guests attending the April 11 event. “We have grown our space physically – to adjust to the recent growth in our number of lawyers, but also to incorporate the latest technologies and innovations, and to reflect the way our attorneys employ those technologies to better serve our clients.”

The firm’s two-story, 30,881-square-foot footprint at Three Logan Square reflects a focus on secure digital and cloud capture and provides expansive room for client and community gatherings. Additionally, the ENERGY STAR-certified building with a landscaped urban oasis and some 50 spaces for bicycle commuters aligns with Greenberg Traurig’s broad commitment to a healthier environment for its employees, clients, and residents of the communities where the firm has offices.

Amenities at the new location include the following: tech-enhanced collaborative work spaces that increase productivity and output for clients; full HD-quality videoconferencing capabilities; gallery space; conference rooms with flexible configuration options; optimized attorney and business staff offices; and a spacious café that can support client and community events.

Philadelphia was the third Greenberg Traurig location established in the northeast, following the opening of offices in New York and Washington, D.C. The firm has since completed opening its 39th office this year, in Minneapolis. The office began with three attorneys in 1997; today, it nears 50 attorneys and its expansion continues – particularly in the areas of real estate, white collar defense and special investigations, government law and policy, and litigation. Meanwhile, its longtime, core, and decorated practices, such as public finance, labor and employment, financial regulatory and compliance, and environmental law, continue to strengthen.

“We simply outgrew our prior location and wanted to increase the level of service we could provide to our clients,” Toll said. “This move represents an exciting new chapter for Greenberg Traurig in this city.”

He also noted that visitors to the new space will notice certain nods to Philadelphia, such as the names of conference and meeting spaces.

“But we are one global law firm, and this physical space reflects the firm’s culture and values, which are the same whether you are in Shanghai or Sacramento, Berlin or Boston,” Toll added.

The new Philadelphia office falls along public transit routes and sits at the edge of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, home of storied institutions such as the Academy of Natural Sciences, the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, the Franklin Institute, the Barnes Foundation, and the famed Philadelphia Museum of Art – and its “Rocky” steps.

Philadelphia-based Brandywine Realty Trust, a publicly-traded, full-service integrated real estate company, manages Three Logan Square.

Guests at Greenberg Traurig’s event included a cross section of clients, elected officials, nonprofit leaders, other local stakeholders, and global firm leadership, including Greenberg Traurig Chief Executive Officer Brian L. Duffy, Co-President Ernest LaMont Greer, and Senior Chairman Cesar L. Alvarez.
