Greenberg Traurig’s Joel Rothstein Presents at 2019 Japan Private Equity Real Estate Roundtable

New York – June 28, 2019 Chair of the Asia Real Estate Practice, Joel H. Rothstein of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP participated as a panelist in the PERE 2019 Japan Roundtable, June 25, in Tokyo, Japan. 

Organized by real estate industry publication Private Equity Real Estate (PERE), the annual roundtable event featured leading experts in the Japanese real estate industry in a wide ranging and engaging discussion centered on the trends, opportunities and challenges facing equity and debt investors and other market participants in Japan. Rothstein was joined by Shu Watanabe, Director of Capital Transactions, Asia at Nuveen; Adam Donahue, Senior Managing Director Portfolio Management, Japan, at LaSalle Investment Management; and Tomiji Hasegawa, Executive Officer, Investor Relations Department Head, at Tokyo Land Capital Management, Inc. The proceedings of the roundtable discussion will be featured in a special upcoming issue of PERE magazine.

Rothstein, is an international real estate and structured finance lawyer based in Greenberg Traurig’s Asia offices. With more than 20 years’ experience in Asia, he advises investment banks, financial institutions, private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, real estate developers, and investors across all major Asia markets with a particular focus on Japan, Greater China and South Korea. He also leads the firm’s practice in advising Asia-based outbound cross-border investors in structuring, implementing, and managing equity and debt investments into the United States, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
